En lugar de grandes batallas, la serie explora las intrigas de las Bene Gesserit y su lucha por el control. No es necesario haber visto las películas para entenderla, ya que construye su propio ritmo y atmósfera. Destaca por su ambientación y por la interpretación de Emily Watson, que aporta presencia y matices a su personaje. Even so, it manages to create interest through its conflicts and the mystery surrounding the story.
