Iggy Igauna asks Holly Higgins if she has seen his checkers game as he and Jacob Blue Jay want to play, but are reminded of the big argument they got into the last time they played checkers, but both laugh thinking back on that time. All of them think back to that time which shows the boys playing. As Jacob attempts to make moves, Iggy guides Jacob into moves that will help him. Iggy takes his turn winning and then doing an "Iggy's Number 1" song and dance. Jacob is upset and refuses to play again. They argue to the point of separating the apartment into their own things. Gloria gets pulled into the argument, eventually colour-coding everything with ribbon. Holly is shocked when she gets home, finding out what happens, before trying to remind them all about sharing and if they can't they may have to move out. Returning to the present, Holly brings out the checkers board believing Iggy and Jacob are ready to play again.

In this episode Holly Higgins gets a phone call, and while she is on the phone Jacob Blue Jay and Gloria Gopher are talking about questions they can't find answers to in books in the apartment. Holly gets off the phone just after Iggy Igauna arrives home explains he doesn't understand who can talk about eggs for half an hour. Holly says she needs to go to the library to see Ms. Pilcher the librarian as she's been asked to do a painting of her as a thank you gift. They all head to the library and the group learns about library cards and how to borrow books.

In this episode the group's friend Rebecca announces she plans to move in and sleep in a chair. Soon the group learns Rebecca believes her parents separation is her fault, but Holly Higgins and the group help her realize that it is not her fault and how to hopefully adjust to the changes to come in her family.
