I thought it was a little risky to produce a BL series that revolves around jazz music, which probably isn't really the most favourite genre among typical BL viewers. So I was surprised that it has become a huge success, thanks to a good script that makes viewers understand the characters' background and development. Needless to say that the soundtrack is one of the main assets of this series. Transfer student Se Heon loves and plays jazz, reminding Tae I (Ji Ho Geun) of his brother, a jazz pianist, too, who committed suicide. Se Heon (Kim Jin Kwon) suffers under the strict regime of his father, a music professor who forces him to play classical piano. At first, Tae I is angry at Se Heon when he plays the piano in a room where Tai I's brother (Byun Sung Tae) used to practice, but when they play jazz in a band together, they gradually get closer to each other. Things become complicated again, when Tae I finds out that Se Heon's older brother (Ko Jae Hyun) was his late brother's unrequited lover. Again, there's a wonderful second couple, bully Ju ha (Kim Jung Ha) and Seo Do Jun (Song Han Gyeom). Despite the limited runtime of the series, the development of their relationship from enemies to lovers is sensitively told, too, which is another proof of good writing.
