It's likely that you've seen Pulp Fiction before you've seen this, and because you that, especially with the opening scene, you know where QT got some serious inspiration for certain shots and framing. Themes like following the gangsters. A lot of it is here in the opening, right down to the loud blaring music. But, aside from that, this is a super fun grindhouse classic. It's a flawed low budget movie, but if you love these movies, you love them for the flaws, the jumpy cuts, it all adds to the fun of watching what people can do with a limited budget and a lot of imagination.
