Coati Mundi (born January 3, 1950) is the stage name of American musician and actor, Andy Hernandez. Mundi was raised in Spanish Harlem, New York City. He has a degree in business from NYU. He worked briefly as a social worker prior to his breakthrough with Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band ("Cherchez la Femme").
